Was I There?

by

It’s actually a pertinent question: Was I there? If you are thirty or over you have probably asked yourself this question. Maybe I should have made that fourteen or over? My, how things have changed. I came along in 1948. I’m still here and not because I am chaste or a non-drinker or non-smoker of dope. It is probably because I quit all of the nonsense years ago. Oh, it feels great to drink in a bar or buy a bottle but what a sham at life it becomes. adulthood is assuming responsibility. Alcohol and dope are giving up responsibility.

Hey, I don’t preach I tell it like I know because I have been stupider than you, most likely. Drank myself into the hospital for the best part of three months. Went in almost dead. Learned to walk again in there and how to go to the bathroom properly. Yeah, alcohol is only fun if you don’t much care for it. That is the truth little boys and girls of indeterminate age.

On a lighter note, this is yet another XOG by reality. I’ll fill you in as I go but pay attention to the categories I put the articles under and the photos I attach to each article. It’s part of the road map to understand what I write about which is damn near everything after 78 years of life with Vietnam combat included so you get the whole package here and no crying in our beer here.
