So, Just Where is America Now?

by Thec · May 3, 2026

I’ve been considering where our nation is in time. History is one measure and can sometimes point to where a nation is by what happened in the past. However, when we stop and think about the world our nation becomes a little smaller as where the world is, politically, reflects on where America is or is headed.

The world itself is in sorry shape and it doesn’t take an historian or psychiatrist to figure this out. Europe has gone from a free island in the sea of that continent to a melted ice cream cone on a sidewalk in Harlem; July being the month. Socialism is rampant and, as has always been the case with socialism or communism, socialism’s big brother, they are suffering from the heavy hand of big government. Imprisonment for a post on social media does not sound like a good idea does it? No threat, just what the government thinks is bad and that person is greeted by gendarmes at the front door with handcuffs. Exactly what Biden’s FBI wanted to do with Catholics, Until Trump came into power, that is.

America just went through four years of near socialism and had Harris gotten elected, not she, but her government would have gone further left. She is already undecidedly left, She knows no better, never has.

It doesn’t matter who the next president will be if he or she is leftist. It will only take one term in office to start the government machine running from middle of the road to the fast lane of the left. You and I, will I may not be here, lucky me will then see if I am correct or off the proverbial wall. I know history and I have seen the budding left take flower during the Vietnam war. I was spit on by raggy headed hippies when I was returning home from combat. Hippies, drugs to quell descent and mollify young brains to bend the wrong way was what hippies were and still are. Nations die from ignorance of truth and that is now the job of “higher” education in this country. We are one generation away from losing our nation of free people, free thinkers, and the goodness of what we once were to the world. Count on it!
