Did we come up or down from monkeys, apes, or Neanderthal? Or is this just another “Piltdown” fantasy. I understand how closely held the legend is by scientists or that Evolution is the way we have it. Lord knows I would hate to disregard Charles Darwin or his legendary brilliance. I mean, who the heck am I to cast dispersion or doubt about what some guy traveling on a ship decided was fact. You’ve most likely heard of Darwin, I think we all have. But have you heard of me? Nope, and you probably will never hear of me if I have planned my life correctly and approached my writing on the internet correctly.
I am one who doubts science when it reaches far into the universe or back into prehistoric time. I even doubt, a little, Carbon 14 dating. I know nothing about science other than college courses but even they changed what science said was gospel over a couple of decades. It isn’t so much that I doubt the sincerity of scientists, it is more that I doubt what mankind is able to preach if it is not in the bible. Mankind’s greatest and most powerful invention was the atomic bomb, later, the hydrogen bomb-MUCH BIGGER!!! Given this propensity for destructive science one wonders why Darwin was given a free pass.
Darwin disagreed with the bible as he had a right to do. God never demanded mankind to read and understand His word, that I know of. He did make sure it was published widely and consistently so that anyone could read it. It is still the most purchased and read book and least properly understood book in history.
The bible is authoritative about our past and monkeys are not mentioned. The period of time the bible states for mankind, as we know him and her, is far less than Carbon 14 says. Quite a conundrum isn’t it? It is if you don’t understand the bible and, let’s face it, I hear few scientists recommending the bible to be read and understood by their students. Then again, what does science spend its time doing? Why, trying to figure out how God made all this work, that’s what! An interesting time to live in, eh? I mean with the end of what we know just around the corner and with all that the bible says is needed as signs lined up since around 1914. Science doesn’t mention 1914 but the bible does. Shucks, it always ends up being us that have to make hard decisions as what to believe or who.
